Columbus entered their tilt with Warren Central on Tuesday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They came out on top against the Warren Central Vikings by a score of 70-62. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked first, while the Vikings are ranked 102nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Columbus has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.0 points per game. As for Warren Central, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-14.

Columbus will venture away from home to face off against Pontotoc at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Pontotoc has won eight straight at home, while Columbus won four straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
