Coolidge won the last time they faced Globe and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bears put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 11-1 victory. Considering the Bears have won eight games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Natasha Juan was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brianna Villanueva, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 1-for-3.
Coolidge has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.6 runs over those games. As for Globe, they dropped their record down to 8-10 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Coolidge wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Tanque Verde on the 12th. Hopefully Globe payed attention to the Bears' game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
