Basketball Recap: Noah Scrivani's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Northglenn over Prairie View

Northglenn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 78-61 bruising from the Prairie View Thunderhawks. The Norsemen were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Thunderhawks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Northglenn lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Noah Scrivani, who went 10 of 18 en route to 24 points. Another player making a difference was Emari Wade, who posted seven points and six rebounds.

Even though they lost, Northglenn smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in three consecutive games.

Prairie View got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Javon Brewton out in front who went 9 for 13 on his way to 24 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chidiebere Akotaobi, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten boards.

Northglenn's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Prairie View, the win got them back to even at 8-8.

Northglenn has already played their next contest, a 63-53 loss against Brighton on the 23rd. As for Prairie View, they are taking a road trip to challenge Boulder at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Boulder is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65.3 points per game this season.
