Montgomery entered their tilt with The Pingry School on Thursday with ten consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 11. They were the clear victor by a 64-41 margin over The Pingry School Big Blue. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 17th, while the Big Blue are ranked 147th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the defeat, The Pingry School saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Neel Sappidi went 7 of 11 en route to 21 points. Those 21 points set a new season-high mark for Sappidi. Caleb Polanco was another key player, putting up seven points.

Montgomery's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.8 points per game. As for The Pingry School, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.
