Dynamic duo of Vitor Oliveira and Michael Ribeiro lead Lighthouse Private Christian Academy to victory

Recap: Lighthouse Private Christian Academy Stingrays vs. Chiles Timberwolves

The Lighthouse Private Christian Academy Stingrays came tearing into Saturday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Chiles by a score of 66-57. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

Leading Lighthouse Private Christian Academy to victory were Vitor Oliveira and Michael Ribeiro. Oliveira scored 15 points along with eight assists and eight rebounds, while Ribeiro scored 25 points along with five assists and four steals. The matchup was Ribeiro's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Anton Johnson, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.

Despite the loss, Chiles had strong showings from Trenquarius Strozier, who scored seven points along with 15 rebounds and four blocks, and Isaiah Bundrage, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds. The matchup was Bundrage's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Gabe Parks was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.

Even though they lost, Chiles were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lighthouse Private Christian Academy only pulled down five offensive rebounds.

Lighthouse Private Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. As for Chiles, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.

Hopefully Marianna focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Wednesday. As for Chiles, they will be playing at home against St. John Paul II at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
