Basketball Recap: Piedra Vista Comes Up Short

Piedra Vista was the 78-22 winner over Thoreau when they last played one another back in December of 2015, but their luck changed this time around. The Piedra Vista Panthers fell just short of the Thoreau Hawks by a score of 60-57 on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Thursday (56), the Panthers still had to take the loss.

Piedra Vista moved to 4-9 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Thoreau, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Piedra Vista will head out on the road to face off against Kirtland Central at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Thoreau, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Newcomb at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
