Volleyball Game Preview: Mountain Crest Mustangs vs. Green Canyon Wolves

Mountain Crest hasn't had much luck against Green Canyon recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Mustangs will be taking part in a tournament against the Wolves at 3:00 p.m.

Mountain Crest is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to Ridgeline.

Mountain Crest was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-23, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Green Canyon entered their tilt with Bear River on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Bears 3-0.

One reason for the win was Green Canyon's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-16, 25-12.

Mountain Crest's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Green Canyon, they pushed their record up to 15-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Mountain Crest came up short against Green Canyon in their previous matchup back in March, falling 3-1. Can the Mustangs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
