Recap: Thornton Fractional North Meteors vs. Thornton Fractional South Red Wolves
The Thornton Fractional North Meteors lost to the Thornton Fractional South Red Wolves back in February of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. Thornton Fractional North put the hurt on Thornton Fractional South with a sharp 51-30 victory.
Jaylen Blakes was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Naiem Evans, who scored seven points along with six rebounds.
Thornton Fractional North's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-9. As for Thornton Fractional South, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-17 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Thornton Fractional North will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Hillcrest at 6:00 p.m. on February 8th. Hillcrest has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 240 points over their last four matchups. As for Thornton Fractional South, they will head out on the road to take on Blue Island Eisenhower at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Blue Island Eisenhower has ten straight victories, Thornton Fractional South has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
