Volleyball Recap: Hauser Falls Despite Big Games from Regan Mack and Hayden Dickey

Hauser came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Rising Sun Shiners, falling 3-0. The Jets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Shiners apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.

While Hauser ultimately came up short, they really made Rising Sun work, particularly in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-18, 27-25.

Hayden Dickey and Regan Mack certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Dickey had ten digs and two aces, while Mack had seven kills, two aces, and one block.

Hauser dropped their record down to 2-3 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Rising Sun, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hauser will venture away from home to square off against Jac-Cen-Del at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rising Sun, they will face off against Oldenburg Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
