Baseball Recap: Platte County Comes Up Short

Platte County lost to Eureka on Thursday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Pirates fell 6-3 to the Wildcats. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Platte County's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Eureka, their victory bumped their record up to 15-5.

Looking ahead, Platte County will venture away from home to face off against Fort Osage at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Eureka, they will head out to square off against Rockwood Summit at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Falcons' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so the Wildcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
