Preview: North RedHawks vs. Heights Falcons

North is 0-10 against Heights since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The North RedHawks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Heights Falcons at 7:30 p.m. North is out to stop a 12-game streak of losses at home dating back to last season.

Last Friday, North had to suffer through a rough 110-19 loss at the hands of Southeast. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points North has scored all season.

Meanwhile, Heights unfortunately witnessed the end of their 15-game winning streak on Friday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 59-58 to Southeast. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Heights came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked third, while Southeast is ranked 95th).

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was T.J. Williams, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jahlin Timmons, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and five steals.

North's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Heights, their loss ended a 14-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 15-1.

North was taken down by Heights 84-24 in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Williams, who scored 26 points along with six assists and five rebounds. Now that North knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
