Basketball Recap: Smyrna Falls Short Against Ranked Dover

On Tuesday, Smyrna faced Dover in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Smyrna Eagles might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 45-33 to the Dover Senators, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Eagles have struggled against the Senators recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Smyrna now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Dover, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-1.

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Smyrna Eagles duke it out with the Sussex Tech Ravens at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Dover, they will venture away from home to square off against Milford at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
