Basketball Recap: Taylor Skates Past Ocala Christian with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Taylor). They breezed by the Ocala Christian Crusaders to the tune of 72-45 on Tuesday. The victory was nothing new for the Wildcats as they're now sitting on four straight.

Taylor was led to victory by Anthony Miler and James Thomas. Miler went 7 for 11 on his way to 16 points in addition to six rebounds and five steals, while Thomas posted 17 points and six boards. The contest was Thomas' third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Cabral, who put up eight points.

Taylor smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 12 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Taylor's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for Ocala Christian, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-5.

Taylor will take on Warner Christian Academy in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Ocala Christian and Countryside Christian will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
