Soccer Recap: Taylor Comes Up Short

If Taylor was feeling good fresh off their 4-1 takedown of North Miami on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Tri-Central Trojans who were credited with the victory on Monday. The Tri-Central Trojans got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Taylor Titans' three. Taylor were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Tri-Central apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Kaleb Bentley and Keaton Wiley scored both of Taylor's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Taylor now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Tri-Central, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Looking ahead, Taylor will be playing in front of their home fans against Blackford at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tri-Central, they will venture away from home to challenge Carroll at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Tri-Central are facing Carroll at the right time seeing as Carroll are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
