Baseball Game Preview: Pigeon Forge Tigers vs. Grainger Grizzlies

The Pigeon Forge Tigers will square off against the Grainger Grizzlies at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Pigeon Forge's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Monday's struggle, when Gatlinburg-Pittman hitters got past them. The Tigers came up short against the Highlanders on Monday, falling 11-1.

Meanwhile, Grainger scored first but ultimately less than Greeneville in their game on Monday. They lost 12-2 to the Greene Devils. That's two games in a row now that the Grizzlies have lost by exactly ten runs.

Grainger saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josh Walker, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Grainger and nudges their season record down to 10-13. As for Pigeon Forge, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6-2.

Everything went Pigeon Forge's way against Grainger when the teams last played back in March of 2023, as Pigeon Forge made off with a 6-0 victory. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Grizzlies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
