Basketball Recap: Wright City Comes Up Short

Wright City lost against North Callaway back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The contest between the Wright City Wildcats and the North Callaway Thunderbirds didn't end well, with the Wright City Wildcats falling 56-41.

Leading North Callaway to victory were Jacob Blevins and Caleb Sheets. Blevins posted 13 points along with seven rebounds and five assists, while Sheets scored six points and five steals. That's the most boards Blevins has posted since back in December of 2024. Austin Brown was another key player, putting up eight points.

Wright City's loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for North Callaway, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wright City will host Veritas Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Veritas Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.7 points per game this season. As for North Callaway, they will be playing in front of their home fans against South Callaway at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
