Basketball Recap: Midd-West Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Chase Shattuck and D'zani Coley

Midd-West lost against Montoursville back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Midd-West Mustangs lost 55-31 to the Montoursville Warriors. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Midd-West's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of D'Zani Coley, who posted ten points and six rebounds, and Chase Shattuck, who put up four points and seven rebounds. That's the most rebounds Coley has posted since back in December of 2023.

Midd-West's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Montoursville, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Midd-West will venture away from home to face off against Northumberland Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Montoursville, they will head out on the road to square off against Hughesville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Montoursville knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Hughesville likes a good challenge.
