Softball Recap: Silver Creek Comes Up Short

Silver Creek and Charlestown squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Silver Creek had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Dragons have suffered since April 12th.

Silver Creek has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-11 record this season. As for Charlestown, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-8.

Silver Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Charlestown, they will take on Corydon Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Pirates 2.1, the Panthers 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
