Baseball Game Preview: East Bakersfield Blades vs. Del Oro Suns

The East Bakersfield Blades will venture away from home to face off against the Del Oro Suns at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Bakersfield is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.

East Bakersfield is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest loss since April 1st on Friday. They came up short against Tehachapi, falling 15-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Blades in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost seven in a row.

East Bakersfield saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was ADAN MARTINEZ, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run.

Del Oro played against Delano on Saturday and lost via forfeit.

East Bakersfield's loss dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Del Oro, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-16.

East Bakersfield took their victory against Del Oro when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 19-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blades since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
