Football Game Preview: Chelan Mountain Goats vs. Cashmere Bulldogs + How To Watch

Chelan hasn't had much luck against Cashmere recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Mountain Goats will host the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Chelan has given up an average of 31.9 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Chelan is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Omak on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Mountain Goats took a blow against the Pioneers, falling 63-22. The Mountain Goats were down 49-14 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Cashmere against Connell on Friday as the team secured a 50-10 win. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won six matchups by 29 points or more so far this season.

Cashmere's win came from a few key players Chelan will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Isaac Zavala, who picked up 27 receiving yards and two TDs, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground. Those two receiving touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Rylan Hatmaker was another key player, throwing for 294 yards and four touchdowns.

Cashmere didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Connell to a completion percentage of just 37.2%. The Bulldogs weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 67.6%.

The victory made it two in a row for Cashmere and bumps their season record up to 6-1. The team dominated over those games too, winning by an average of 34.5 points. As for Chelan, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Chelan took a serious blow against Cashmere in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 61-7. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Hatmaker, who threw for 185 yards and five TDs.
