Basketball Recap: Carson Senators vs. McQueen Lancers

Carson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. The game between them and the McQueen Lancers didn't end well, with the Carson Senators falling 65-49. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Senators this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 76-48 back in December of 2024.

McQueen's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alex Hancock led the charge by dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten boards. That's the most rebounds Hancock has posted since back in February of 2024. Abram Carpenter was another key player, going 6 for 8 en route to 13 points and seven boards.

Carson's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for McQueen, they moved to 10-9 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Carson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 61-18 loss against Spanish Springs on the 20th. As for McQueen, they will be playing at home against Galena at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. McQueen is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.3 points per game this season.
