Baseball Recap: St. Mary's Comes Up Short

St. Mary was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 4-0 to the St. Anthony's Friars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Friars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 23-0 last Tuesday.

St. Mary's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for St. Anthony's, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Mary's will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Chaminade at 4:15 p.m. on the 29th. As for St. Anthony's, they will venture away from home to take on St. Francis Prep at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
