Preview: East Noble Knights vs. Prairie Heights Panthers
East Noble is 7-1 against Prairie Heights since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The East Noble Knights will stay at home for another game and welcome the Prairie Heights Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, East Noble greeted the New Year with with a 61-44 win over Huntington North.
Payton Quake had a dynamite game for East Noble, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Quake has scored all season. Rian David was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Meanwhile, Prairie Heights had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past Hamilton 50-13 on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Prairie Heights has posted since December 5, 2023.
Prairie Heights' win on Thursday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Emily McCrea, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Another player making a difference was Ava Boots, who scored 13 points along with six steals.
East Noble's win bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Prairie Heights, their victory bumped their record up to 7-11.
East Noble strolled past Prairie Heights when the teams last played back in January of 2023 by a score of 48-34. Will East Noble repeat their success, or does Prairie Heights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
