Soccer Game Preview: Northampton vs. Northeastern

The Northampton Yellowjackets will venture away from home to take on the Northeastern Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Northampton's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Arcadia with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Northampton.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last match, Northeastern made sure to put some goals up on the board against Hertford County on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over the Bears. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Northeastern's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Northeastern's victory bumped their record up to 3-11. As for Northampton, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.

Northampton was able to grind out a solid victory over Northeastern when the teams last played back in April, winning 5-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Yellowjackets since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
