Volleyball Game Preview: Jupiter Christian Eagles vs. Benjamin Buccaneers

The Jupiter Christian Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Benjamin Buccaneers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Jupiter Christian will be strutting in after a victory while Benjamin will be coming in after a loss.

Jupiter Christian is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Oxbridge Academy. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

The final score came out to 25-22, 25-15, 23-25, 25-11.

Jupiter Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tessa Cochran led the charge by getting five digs and three aces. Ella Murray was another key player, getting four digs and four aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Jupiter Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. They are 6-2 when they serve at least ten aces.

Meanwhile, Benjamin came up short against Palmer Trinity last Wednesday and fell 2-0.

Jupiter Christian now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Benjamin, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-8 record this season.

Jupiter Christian suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Benjamin when the teams last played back in September. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
