Softball Recap: Post Falls Extends Winning Streak to Three

Post Falls extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday, bumping them up to 9-12. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Sandpoint Bulldogs. 12 seems to be a good number for the Trojans as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

McKenna Zimmerman was incredible, firing off two home runs, four runs, and three RBI while going 4-for-4. That's the most runs she has posted over her last 13 contests. Another player making a difference was Kulani Peahu-Michael, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Post Falls was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .520. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

As for Sandpoint, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-13. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat they have suffered since April 7th.

On Sandpoint's side, Teagan Newsom was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one triple.

Looking ahead, Post Falls will face off against Lake City at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sandpoint does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
