Orange took a 13-run loss the last time they faced off against Beachwood, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Lions came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bison on Tuesday, sneaking past 22-20. The Lions' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Clare Hess made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and 18 unearned) runs off seven hits. Hess was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with two runs and two RBI.
