Basketball Recap: Mckinleyville Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

McKinleyville won against St. Bernard's last Wednesday with 57 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The McKinleyville Panthers came out on top against the Arcata Tigers by a score of 57-49. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the Tigers last Tuesday, they had to take a 56-47 defeat.

McKinleyville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Neil Moon led the charge by going 5-for-9 on his way to 16 points. Moon is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Cole Armstrong, who posted 12 points along with four blocks and three steals.

McKinleyville is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season. As for Arcata, their loss dropped their record down to 20-6.
