Holliston proved they can win big on Monday (they won by three) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Ashland Clockers. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 victory the Clockers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Holliston was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (107-98), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 25-23, 19-25, 25-23, 14-25, 15-11.

Despite the defeat, Ashland saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Rose Berliner had nine digs and four aces.

Holliston now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Ashland, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Holliston will face off against rival Dedham at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Ashland is set to square off against their familiar foe Westwood at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
