The home team had won the previous five meetings between Crossings Christian and Hennessey, and Crossings Christian kept the tradition alive. The Knights were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over the Eagles on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won four in a row.

Kade Wienstroer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on nine hits and racked up six Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Crossings Christian's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Ayala, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2. That's the most runs Ayala has posted since back in March of 2024. Jake Robison also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Crossings Christian's win bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Hennessey, they dropped their record down to 7-12 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Crossings Christian will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
