Basketball Game Preview: Camelback Spartans vs. Cesar Chavez Champions

Camelback is 0-3 against Cesar Chavez since January of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The Camelback Spartans will square off against the Cesar Chavez Champions at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Camelback is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 53-24 win over Maryvale. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Spartans with their most commanding win of the season.

Meanwhile, Cesar Chavez had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 70.6 points) and they went ahead and made it eight on Friday. They blew past the Stallions 68-25. The Champions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 games by 24 points or more this season.

Cesar Chavez pushed their record up to 19-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 15.5 points over those games. As for Camelback, their win bumped their record up to 5-18.

Camelback was dealt a bruising 100-24 loss at the hands of Cesar Chavez in their previous meeting last Tuesday. Can Camelback avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
