Football Game Preview: Lake Norman Charter Knights vs. Foard Tigers

The Lake Norman Charter Knights will challenge the Foard Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

On Friday, Lake Norman Charter blew past Lincoln Charter, posting a 35-7 win. The Knights' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Lake Norman Charter's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Dorian Morgan led the charge by picking up 98 receiving yards and one score, while also rushing for 46 yards and one touchdown. Morgan really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 93 yards. Dylan Wignot was another key signal caller, throwing for 205 yards and four TDs on only 15 passes.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Foard). They put the hurt on North Lincoln with a sharp 27-7 victory on Friday. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Tigers just coasted through the last quarter.

The win got Lake Norman Charter back to even at 5-5. As for Foard, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.
