Softball Recap: Valders Vikings vs. Roncalli Jets        
        
		
            
 Valders scored the most  runs they've had all season to find success  on Monday. They walked away with  a   13-8  win over the Roncalli Jets. The  victory was familiar territory for Valders who now have four in a row.
  Megan Hochkammer was a major factor no matter where she played. She  struck out 12 batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned  (and seven unearned) runs off   three  hits. Hochkammer has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  pitched less than six  innings in eight consecutive pitching appearances. Hochkammer was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs and  stealing three bases while  getting on base  in three of her five plate appearances.
 In other batting news, Valders let  Addison Spindler and  Anna Olson loose on the outfield. Spindler  got on base  in four of her five plate appearances with two  runs, a  triple,  and a  stolen base, while  Olson  scored three  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances.  Makayla Dallas was another key contributor,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 1-for-4.
 On Roncalli's side,  Jenna Wall made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  scored two  runs and  stole two bases. The team also got some help courtesy of  Megan Lamers, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 1-for-4.
 Valders now  has a winning record of 5-4. As for Roncalli, they are  on  an  eight-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-8.
 Valders will be playing in front of their home fans against Kiel at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. Kiel is coming into the  match with three straight  wins on the road,  so Valders will have to stop a  squad with plenty of momentum. As for Roncalli, they will  take on Two Rivers at 3:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
