Recap: Foxcroft Academy Ponies vs. Caribou Vikings
The Foxcroft Academy Ponies's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their sixth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 81-36 loss at the hands of Caribou. Foxcroft Academy has struggled against Caribou recently, as their game on Thursday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Madyson Kimball and Allie Smith certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Kimball scored ten points along with two steals, while Smith scored 12 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Smith has scored all season.
Foxcroft Academy bumped their record down to 1-10 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Caribou, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Foxcroft Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Houlton at 2:30 p.m. on January 20th. As for Caribou, they will challenge Hermon at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hermon will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Maine Rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while Caribou is ranked 16th).
