Recap: Altamont Longhorns vs. Tabiona Tigers
The Altamont Longhorns's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their eighth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Tabiona, falling 77-29. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Altamont in their matchups with Tabiona: they've now lost five in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Altamont lost, one person who can't be blamed is Grayson Panas. Despite the final result, he scored eight points along with nine rebounds and two blocks. Panas has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played.
Tabiona was led to victory by Logan Rhoades and Gavin Rhoades. Rhoades scored 17 points along with five assists and five rebounds, while Rhoades dropped a double-double on 18 points and 16 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Rhoades scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Lex Giles, who scored 11 points along with six assists.
Altamont's loss was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 3-9. As for Tabiona, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 12-1.
