Baseball Recap: Ballinger's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ballinger). They walked away with a 16-13 win over the Merkel Badgers on Saturday. The victory was nothing new for the Bearcats as they're now sitting on three straight.

The win got Ballinger back to even at 3-3. As for Merkel, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ballinger will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Winters at 4:30 p.m. on March 21st. As for Merkel, they will take on Grape Creek at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Merkel is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.
