Baseball Recap: Alameda Takes a Loss

Alameda was the 9-1 winner over Encinal when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Hornets lost 9-3 to the Jets on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Hornets have suffered since February 28th.

Alameda's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Encinal, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-5.

Looking ahead, Alameda will welcome Piedmont at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Hornets 4.1, the Highlanders 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Encinal, they will venture away from home to challenge Hayward at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
