Basketball Recap: Shane Pohler's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Community Christian over Liberty County

After a string of three wins, Community Christian's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a hard 67-52 fall against the Liberty County Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 64-50 back in November.

Several Chargers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Shane Pohler, who posted 13 points and five assists. Thanks to that strong game, Pohler now owns an excellent 45.3% shooting accuracy. Garry Harnden was another key player, putting up nine points along with seven boards and three steals.

Community Christian's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Liberty County, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Coming up, Community Christian will head out on the road to square off against Aucilla Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Liberty County, they and Sneads will face off at 2:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. The game will give the Bulldogs their first taste of in-conference action this season.
