While Bernards's victory against Immaculata wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Mountaineers had just enough and edged out the Spartans 64-61. Given the Mountaineers' advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 30th, while the Spartans are ranked 133rd) , the result on Thursday wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win made it two in a row for Bernards and bumps their season record up to 19-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points over those games. As for Immaculata, their loss dropped their record down to 8-11.

Bernards wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 48-44 win against Hasbrouck Heights on the 13th. As for Immaculata, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 61-55 defeat against Ridge on the 14th.
