Football Recap: Rustburg Comes Up Short at Home Against Lord Botetourt + How To Watch

Rustburg unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a 28-14 bruising from the Lord Botetourt Cavaliers on Friday. Despite 95 more yards than the Cavaliers, the Red Devils couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Despite the loss, Rustburg still got an impressive performance from Aiden Sax, who threw for 232 yards and one touchdown, and also punched in one score on the ground.

Quinten Jones had a dynamite game For Lord Botetourt., rushing for 167 yards and a pair of TDs, while also picking up 66 receiving yards.

Lord Botetourt has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
