Softball Game Preview: Seneca Valley Raiders vs. Plum Mustangs

Seneca Valley has gone a perfect 3-0 against Plum recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Raiders will be playing at home against the Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Seneca Valley came up short against Shaler Area on Friday, falling 19-12.

Meanwhile, Plum came up short against North Allegheny on Saturday and fell 5-2.

Plum saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aubrey Maxwell, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI.

Plum's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-4. As for Seneca Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-4.

Seneca Valley got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in March of 2023 against Plum by a conclusive 12-1 score. Will the Raiders repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
