Softball Recap: Miyamura Takes a Loss

Miyamura was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 6-2 to the Belen Eagles. The Patriots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.

ALAYNA VIDAL was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing three bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high.

Miyamura now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Belen, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-6.

Miyamura wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 8-5 victory against Rehoboth Christian on the 18th. As for Belen, they have also already played their next contest, an 8-7 win against Eldorado on the 15th.
