Recap: Westmoreland Eagles vs. Beech Buccaneers
The Westmoreland Eagles lost against the Beech Buccaneers back in November, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Westmoreland took a 35-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of Beech.
Beech's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Bailey Ford led the charge by scoring ten points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Macey Blazek, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds.
Westmoreland has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season. As for Beech, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-4.
Westmoreland will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Trousdale County at 6:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Beech won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Greenwood at 5:30 p.m. on December 22nd.
