Baseball Game Preview: Commerce Tigers vs. Lone Oak Buffaloes

Commerce is on a five-game streak of home losses, and Lone Oak an eight-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers last Friday. Commerce came up short against Mount Vernon, falling 19-1.

Meanwhile, Lone Oak fell victim to Prairiland and their airtight pitching crew last Tuesday. They lost 10-0 to the Patriots.

Lone Oak now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Commerce, their loss dropped their record down to 2-15.

Commerce took their victory against Lone Oak when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 13-3. Will Commerce repeat their success, or does Lone Oak has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
