For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Collinsville and Centralia meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Monday. The Kahoks fell just short of the Orphans by a score of 5-4.
Collinsville saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carter Harrington, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Braden Henson was another, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Belleville East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against Edwardsville, falling 7-0.
