Recap: Prairie View Academy Spartans vs. Porter's Chapel Academy Eagles
The Prairie View Academy Spartans pushed their score all the way to 59 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 69-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Porter's Chapel Academy. Prairie View Academy has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.
Despite the loss, Prairie View Academy still got an impressive performance from Tollan Wallace, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 19 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wallace has scored all season. Abram Anthony was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
Prairie View Academy has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-6 record this season. As for Porter's Chapel Academy, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Prairie View Academy and River Oaks will face off at 4:00 p.m. on January 22nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. River Oaks is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. As for Porter's Chapel Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Hillcrest Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Hillcrest Christian's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six contests.
