Football Recap: Walnut Grove Takes a Loss

Walnut Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a blow against the North Oconee Titans, falling 41-7. Having soared to a lofty 41 points in the game before, the Warriors couldn't push the score so high this time.

Walnut Grove didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Chris Labowicz, Jake Moss, and Rhyder Beard picked up one apiece. Moss is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least five every time he's taken the field this season. Walnut Grove received some extra help from Julian Sease, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Walnut Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for North Oconee, their victory bumped their record up to 10-0.

Walnut Grove does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Oconee, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Perry at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th.
