Soccer Recap: Bixby Extends Home Winning Streak to Six

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bixby). Everything went their way against the Claremore Zebras on Thursday as the Bixby Spartans made off with a 5-0 win. The Spartans' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three contests.

Bixby's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those six matchups. As for Claremore, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bixby will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Jenks at 8:00 p.m. on March 25th. Claremore will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against Wagoner at 8:00 p.m. on March 28th.
