Basketball Recap: Cesar Martinez's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Potter Valley over Victory Christian Academy

Potter Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 30th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 51-44 to the Victory Christian Academy Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bearcats of the 55-28 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2020.

Potter Valley lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Cesar Martinez, who posted seven points. Carter McBride was another key player, putting up eight points.

Potter Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Victory Christian Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-14.

Potter Valley has already played their next matchup, a 100-32 defeat against Mendocino on the 31st. As for Victory Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 88-43 loss against Sonoma Academy on the 31st.
