Softball Recap: Lambert Drops Highest Score of Season Against North Forsyth

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lambert). They blew past the North Forsyth Raiders 15-6 on Tuesday. With that win, the Longhorns brought their scoring average up to 6.8 runs per game.

Olivia Cantarutti was excellent, firing off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 4-for-5. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Payton Yi, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.

Lambert hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in seven consecutive contests.

The victory got Lambert back to even at 6-6. As for North Forsyth, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 6-5.

Lambert will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Raiders: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
